Patricio Guzmán
Patricio Guzmán was born in 1941 in Chile and is known for his award-winning documentaries focusing on social and political concerns in his home country. He is internationally renowned for movies such as Nostalgia for the Light (2010) and The Pearl Button (2015). The Battle of Chile (1975-1979), Guzmán’s impressive 4 and 1/2 hour long documentary trilogy about Salvador Allende's final year, was declared by The Cineaste Magazine as one of the ten best political films in the world.
